Chipmunks![]()
Chipmunks are our youngest camp group. Children entering Pre-K (minimum age 4) and Kindergarten. Chipmunks will have introductory experiences to the natural world by going on short hikes, using their senses, and interacting with their peers. Their camp group is in our Chipmunk Clubhouse next to the Aviary and right across from the restrooms. 14 children with two adult professional educators. Campers must be bathroom independent. For the safety of staff and campers, TNC staff do not go into bathrooms with campers. | DeerDeer are one of the middle camp groups. Children entering 1st-2nd grade for the weeks of June 26-July 28. Deer roam the trails exploring anywhere they can reach. Their camp group is in our wooden covered pavilion! Deer have the best access to chalk murals and enjoying the picnic tables. 18 children with two adults professional educators. | Snapping Turtles ![]() Snapping turtles are the other middle camp group. Children entering 1st-4th grade for the weeks of July 31-September 1. The range of ages allows for a different mix of friendships and interactions. Snappers roam the trails exploring anywhere they can reach. Their camp group is in our wooden covered pavilion! They have the best access to chalk murals and enjoying the picnic tables. 18 children with two adults professional educators. |
CoyotesCoyotes are our older camp group. Children entering 3rd-6th grade for the weeks of June 26-July 28. Coyotes dive head first into more challenging topics and hiking trails. They claim the campfire ring as their home base, tucked into the woods. 18 children with two adult professional educators. | HawksHawks are our oldest camp group. Campers entering 5th-7th grade for the weeks of July 31-August 25. Hawks conquer the farthest hiking trails that no Chipmunk will ever see! They may also experience more challenging roles such as helping build a campfire, creating science experiments, or canoeing on the pond. Hawks claim the campfire ring as their home base, tucked into the woods. 18 children with two adult professional educators. | 8th Grade Jr. CIT ProgramPart camper and part helper, Jr. CITs will be put with our youngest campers and assist the counselors. They will gain confidence, learn the ins and outs of working with children, and enjoy all of the same camp fun by hiking, making crafts, and meeting our animal ambassadors. |
